Undead and Unwed by Mary Janice Davidson

I just read a great couple of books by an author that I believe is relatively new although I could be wrong about that. It is possible that I’ve just learned about her and that she’s been writing for years. The book is from Mary Janice Davidson and it is titled Undead and Unwed.

This is the first book in a series and it is extremely funny. It covers the problems that happen to a secretary is laid off one day dies and awakens in the mortuary to learn that she’s a vampire eventually. She’s definitely not your typical vampire in this negative Google vampire novel. For anyone that enjoys Janet Evanovich novels featuring the heroine Stephanie Plum, you are very likely to enjoy this book. There are many similarities and it’s possible that this is a little bit of a knock off but the freshness of the setting and the foundation of the book with the vampire times and all make a different enough to work.

One of the reasons why it’s so similar is because it’s very funny just like Janet Evanovich novels are. I will give to much more about this particular book away and I will start to go into the plot line a little bit more than so is fair warning some plot spoilers Will be following in the not too distant future. In the meantime you can look at this book is a bit of a cross a sitcom, a porno, and an Anne Rice novel. I am sure that and Rice would probably have a good laugh at this book.
