Packing Up for a ThunderStorm
So here I am packing up the office temporarily as a thunderstorm roles through. I had been putting together some training videos to provide to a client of mine, Gordo’s the makers of Gordo’s Queso Cheese Dip. I built a website for them empowering them to manage their own website without the need for a web designer in the future.
I setup the site using WordPress as a Content Management System (CMS). WordPress is well known to many of us bloggers, but not all bloggers fully realize how powerful the program is these days when configured properly and when configured in conjunction with the right plugins and web design components.
One of the key elements that is needed to take WordPress to a new level is simply a dynamic menu system that will update as the people that use the site add additional pages.
That’s really a key element especially for a business website. Once you have that capability in place, many of the other elements start to fall into place relatively rapidly largely because WordPress is such a powerful program that is also extremely well supported in the open source community both for the core program but also for the large number of plugin programs that are available to run with it.
