IzeaFest at SeaWorld in Orlando is coming this October 1st – 4th. I’m looking forward to Izeafest this year quite a bit. I couldn’t make Izeafest last year so its been almost 2 years since I made it to what was then PostieCon (now called Izeafest) in Las Vegas back in 2007.
So this year, I’m back with a bang and offering FREE TICKETS in a series of contests. I’m offering four codes that will get you a free registration for IzeaFest, that will save you $225! But more importantly it will place you at an event where you can network a bit and learn how to make a lot more money than $225 throughout the year!
DID I MENTION IZEAFEST IS AT SEA WORLD IN ORLANDO THIS YEAR!
IzeaFest Tickets includes a pass to SeaWorld on Sunday the 4th at the end of the conference!

Mostly, I’m looking forward to seeing lots of blogger friends and partners. But I’m also looking forward to moderating an Izea advertiser panel titled, What Advertisers Want. Now, I won’t have to wax my legs and get zapped in a tub to suddenly start channeling questions and ideas for this one. I’ve blogged and advertised with Izea since 2006.
Three years of experiences on both sides of the fence will definitely help me direct some great questions and conversation. Plus, the line up of advertisers that will speak on this panel is going to be great.
I once paid admission into SeaWorld for my family using quarters.
Had lots of spare change and didn’t want to make a trip to the bank nor lose 3% at Coinstar…. Don’t think the people behind me in line appreciated the humor of this as much as I did.

Q: What is the most significant trend in social media/social media marketing that you’ve noticed taking place in the past 12 months?
Oh sorry Brett, that was rude of me. I would love to go to IZEAfest. Been working with these folks since 11/07 and have yet to meet face to face. I’ve finally mastered Twitter(!) so I’ll be sure to “stalk” you.
Hope all is well!

Hey Cyn, np
Didn’t notice any rudeness.
Some social media pundits are making the bold statement that sponsored posts will bring in majority of (Internet) revenue one day. What is your opinion?

Have you noticed a slowdown in online advertising or do you see it as a less expensive way to reach target markets?
Kate’s last blog post..Deleon Springs
Nice Brett…surprised you didnt tell me about this! j/k
My question – What side of social media do you see as the most successful side? Online rep mgt, conversation starter, etc
Hey Robert, I thought I mentioned this a couple weeks back after the last SEO meetup. I meant to, thought I did, but we don’t always have enough time to talk at those meetups sometimes.
I would love to know is how to make my email updates less “spammy.” I have over 500 people who have signed up for updates. I have provided them links to articles on my website yet one person said my emails appear spammy in that kind of format.
Catherine Copeland’s last blog post..Free Movie Rental At Hollywood Video
Hey Catherine,
Do you mean that people think your articles when sent via email subscription look spammy??? or something else?
If yes, how does this relate to advertisers? (not saying it doesn’t just trying to understand your question better.
)
Just heard the opinion from an “expert” that because platforms come and go (think Twitter, Facebook) THE most important thing in social media is to have one solid base–such as a website–that remains in place.

Hi Brett! Glad you are having this contest. Winning would be the only way I can go!
My questions are:
When an advertiser is looking over a potential space (blog/ website) to advertise, what are elements they immediately look for? When reading the “about” section, what are the main points the advertiser wants to see?
Alli’s last blog post..Getting crafty: baking and sewing
Hey Alli, Best of luck to you and the other entries. Note, you can enter multiple times and multiple ways to improve your odds, and I’m going to do additional contests for the next 3 tickets too!
Oh, and I realize I asked two questions and it only counts as one entry. I just thought the two questions went together.
Alli’s last blog post..Getting crafty: baking and sewing
When partnering with a blogger in a giveaway or sponsorship, How long do you spend monitoring/getting to know the blogger before pitching a partnership?
I have several blogs that have different types of niches.
What do you think would be the best way for me to approach advertisers?
Example, on my chocolate blog or my wholesale blog, should I email them, call them or I was thinking of sending them a postcard with a promotional campaign on it.
Thanks for your time and please give me an entry into the contest!
Danna Crawford
CEO/Founder PowerSellingMom, Inc.
Good question Danna, keep in mind that these advertisers all work within a network that brings bloggers and advertisers together already. Usually they (advertisers) post something first into the marketplace and bloggers respond if interested.
Hello Brett,
Thanks for the reply but I am confused.
Where can we find the posts that the advertisers are posting into this “network”? I think I missed something.
I greatly appreciate your time!
Danna
Hey Danna,
If you give me a question for advertisers I may use them during the advertiser panel that I will be moderating at IzeaFest. Asking a question here in the comments gets you a entry to win a ticket to the IzeaFest conference.
These advertisers run opportunities in SocialSpark and PayPerPost. That is the network. You can sign up at either of those as a blogger and you will see advertisers posting opportunities / offers for you to consider covering in many different ways from your blog.
Hope that clears things up more.
When marketing a new product, what is your first step in social media marketing?
When considering a publisher, are you more interested in the frequency and quality of their blog or the content being related to your product?
Sure hope I win a ticket to IzeaFEST! I just spent the last of the prizes I won in 2008. It was a $50 gift card for Crate & Barrel and I got 2 nice Rachel Ray pots!
Thanks for offering us this chance to win Brett.

Do you believe advertising has begun to slow down or rise because of the current condition of the economy?
