Happy Fourth of July!

I have been submitting lots of new images to my blog lately, but they are not making it here.  Part of the issue was with Utterli, which was having some problems with images and emails, but I think part of the problem might also be with Yahoo Mail Plus.  Since it is a holiday, I haven’t really dug into the issue too much, but if you are wondering why I have been a little less active than normal, its not for a lack of trying and entirely for a lack of succeeding with technology lately.

I’ve also burned through 2 mobile phones in the last 2 weeks, run into goofy snafus with a laptop email program or two, and couldn’t even get dimdim to work as it normally does during a conference call the other night and don’t even get me started about how poorly skype has worked lately.

I’ve been a real technojinx lately.  :)

Its the fourth of July and we’re going to do things low key today.  Shoot off some fireworks tonight probably.  Part of the wife’s family hasn’t arrived yet, so when they get here then it will be more of a holiday like atmosphere around the house.  So today, I’m still doing a good bit of work.

I’ve been slaving away on a new business plan for a company I’m starting with some partners called Paid to Perfect.  The service has not launched in beta yet, but we are accepting requests from people that would like to participate when the time to send that call out begins.  I’m very excited to move forward with that project, but as these things go I am still 100% dedicated to my existing business as that is the one that pays the bills.  I’ve started several companies over the years and in almost every case I started them while I was running another or working at a different job.  Its been my experience that it is the best way to boot strap and avoid getting the hooks of investors into your hide prematurely if at all.

So that is what I’m up to at the moment, and as I’m up to it, I find myself writing this blog article update.  If you are not already following me on twitter (@brettbum) or Facebook you can catch up with me there too!
