Very interesting article. I remember way back when during a pretty tough time in my life, not only did your parents give me a place to stay for a few weeks, so I had a roof over my head but I also do recall that job from your grandfather. I worked for him for several weeks till I was able to buy a car and make my way to another job.

What an interesting and inspiring story about your grandfather. Thanks for sharing that. The men and women of that generation definitely had a strong spirit to make the most of what they had. I saw that in my grandparents as well.

Anyway, if I am the lucky winner of the gift card, I’d like to buy a couple of sets of Lands’ End 400 TC Supima No-iron Sheet Sets (item # 09655826004), they’re under $40 each, so my husband and I could each have a set. We have only one set of really nice sheets that we got at an outlet store, because we normally can’t afford anything that nice. I thought the whole thread count thing was overrated until we got those sheets. It does make a difference!
