Criptonomicon by Neal Stephenson
Next up on my list of books to read is Criptonomicon by Neal Stephenson. This best seller has been around for several years now and I have read it before. Its another one of those pseudo history novels, but this one is factually very tight especially as it relates to technology and espionage.
If you are interested by spy novels, encryption techniques and applications, buried Japanese gold and the adventures of Enoch Root (aka the Devil eternal) then I highly recommend this book.
Its extremely exciting and very modern. You’ll follow the build out of modern day telecommunications with hook backs to WWII and hackers working to defend their financial consolidation software with 4086 bit encryption keys. There’s a little bit of sex, romance and lots of intellectual playground material to sink your frontal lobe into.
