Computer Upgrade for Better Blogging

I upgraded my laptop over the weekend.  My wife and I went CompUSA and I picked up some more RAM for my computer.  We did not pick up any Dell Memory for my wife’s Dell laptop as it is paid for by the state.

I also picked up a nonfiction book called “the Web design CD bookshelf version 1.0″ it’s a few years old but it was only 20 bucks and annex the contains about six different books.

These include the following:

• Web Design in a Nutshell, Second Edition
• Action Script: the Definitive Guide
• HTML and XHTML: The Definitive Guide, Fourth Edition
• Information Architecture for the World Wide Web
• Cascading Style Sheets: The Definitive Guide
• Designing Web Audio: real audio, MP3, flash, and beatnik

Now the last book in this group is probably outdated and not terribly useful for most of the others were written with standards that are still present and in use today.  I’m looking to fill in some Says I’ve covered most of the recent updated bases with each of these areas.  But I’m looking for some in-depth understanding on a few of those topics that I don’t have in my more summarized training books and DVD-ROMs.  And for $20 you can’t really go wrong!

So all those books came on a CD-ROM plus I also received, web design and nutshell a desktop quick reference which has several hundred pages with references to a number of different coding scripts that I use on a regular basis.

So just in case you thought I was reading fiction all the time I thought I’d share this with you to show you that I do a little work too!
