New Michael Jackson Article Gets 666 PageViews
Lol, ok this is probably a little silly I’m sure, but was just checking the post publishing stats on the article about the New Michael Jackson Album to be released in November that I published last night, and it initially received 666 page views that first night (I think the stats on this update nightly).
ok, now I got to get back to work.
Breaking the New Michael Jackson Album Story with Joe Klein

Legendary Engineer of Original Jackson Hits Mixing New Tracks Just Discovered in Motown Vaults
Written by Joe Klein with Brett Bumeter
Hot on the heels of the MTV Video Music Awards telecast that featured multiple tributes to Michael Jackson and just days before Oprah Winfrey will be airing her own televised homage to the King of Pop,
Los Angeles, CA
United States of Americacomes the word that a number of early recordings of Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 have been unearthed and are set for a November release.
The precious gems sat unnoticed, buried deep in the vaults of Motown Records for decades. As of this writing, there are no less than 11 newly discovered songs, never put out as singles or included on any Jackson 5 or Michael Jackson albums, which are now in the process of being mixed for the first NEW Jackson 5 album in decades.
Russ Terrana, the very same gifted recording engineer who mixed all of the original Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson records 40 years ago, has confirmed -…. More
We very rapidly moved into the top slot for Michael Jackson Recordings on Google News and Michael Jackson Albums, and on the regular Google Listing for Michael Jackson Recordings and Michael Jackson Albums we are on page 1 or 2 of Google already, just after 4 hours. That feels pretty amazing for a name like Michael Jackson.
I’m Speaking at WordCamp RDU 2009 After NIN /Jane’s Concert
So next month I have a crazy couple of days scheduled. On June 12th, my wife and I are going to the Nine Inch Nails / Jane’s Addiction concert in Charlotte. After the concert, I’m dropping my wife off at home and driving up to Raleigh for WordCamp RDU, where I will be speaking that afternoon on using WordPress as a CMS. I volunteered to cover Custom WordPress Theme design too. Actually, I offered that one first, I was asked if I could cover CMS instead, so I said sure.
So I will be up pretty much all night long after the concert and hanging with some great WordPress enthusiasts in Raleigh. Trying to figure out how to maybe open up the speech, maybe with a little music from the concert . . . .
Brett Bumeter Speaking at WordCamp RDU 2009
Brett Bumeter of Softduit Media will be speaking at WordCamp RDU (Raleigh Durham) 2009 on June 13th. He will be covering an advanced topic on utilizing WordPress as a CMS for businesses.
Softduit Media has worked for several years to help both bloggers and small companies harness the power of WordPress as a CMS not only in the Charlotte area, but in Atlanta, and around the world.
The SEO powers of WordPress that deliver traffic to a site combined with the super easy administration panel of the WordPress system make it very easy for companies to take control of their own websites handing the keys to the business users of the sites and freeing up expenses and resources from long term web consultants. Brett has led the charge in Softduit to provide affordable websites that almost anyone in an organization can manage regardless of their experience in web design.
Brett will also be speaking at WordCamp Birmingham in September.
For other WordCamp events in the South or SouthEast you might also consider checking out WordCampHSV (Huntsville) & WordCamp Dallas, which looks like it will be an excellent event. WordCamp CLT (Charlotte) will be later next winter in either November or December.
Think this Might be a Useless Widget
I was listening to Tear the Roof off the Sucker by Parliament (actually from an old Details compilation CD). Love the song, but I found this widget for embedding to be kind of silly

A Few Things to Do Today
I woke up about 3:30 am this morning, which is about 4 hours later than I woke up yesterday after going to bed around 9 pm both nights. I’m just not sleeping. That’s the way it goes sometimes.
I ran about 2 miles yesterday, but had no energy for the run. Afterwards, I spent some time continuing to edit video from Saturday’s WordPress meetup. I’m learning (getting more experienced with) Sony Vegas. I’ve been using Pinnacle Studio for my video editing for a couple years now. Its a very good program (Pinnacle) but it has never been as stable as I wanted it to be. So I’m learning Vegas as a backup for now with the expectation that when I get better with it, it will probably become my primary video editing tool.
Just went through Facebook and read a great article about Depeche Mode, who is starting a Stadium tour this year. I’m going to have to get tickets to that. I’m also working on getting tickets to the NinJa tour (NIN and Jane’s Addiction). If I can see those three groups this year, then I will basically have seen my top 3 groups all in one year.
So that’s about it, I’m getting ready to continue and maybe finish editing that video of the meetup, while I listen to some Ministry of Sound.
This includes the Shamen, which I haven’t pulled out of my own CD rack in 7 or 8 years
Not exactly freerunning, but kind of freedancing video. (btw this does happen in real life)
